Teachers and Educators, on this page you will find lesson plans about the life and death of President Abraham Lincoln. There are also various links to pages that may prove useful for further study in your classroom.

Also, consider attending the annual Civil War Institute from June 27-July 3, 2010. The topic will be "The Election of 1860".  The Institute will include talks by historians Michael Burlingame, Allen Guelzo, Matthew Pinsker, Michael Holt, Craig Symonds.  Also, former United States Senator George McGovern will speak about his new book on Abraham Lincoln, which is a part of the American Presidents series.  The Institute is a PA Act 48 Continuing Professional Education Provider through the Division of Professional Development, Bureau of Teaching and Learning Support.
